Batronix-Barlino II <-- Galep 5 --> HVEPROM project v1

BATRONIX - BARLINO II

I only bought the Batronix Barlino II because my Galep-5 was defective for a short time and I didn't know whether it could be repaired.

The Barlino II is a new allrounder and I am also very satisfied with it. You can not program the old 2704, 2708 and MCM68764 / MCM68766 EPROMs.

GALEP-5

My all-purpose weapon is the Galep-5, which can actually program nearly anything, including the MCM68764 / MCM68766 EPROMs for the IBM 5150. You can not program the old 2704, 2708 EPROMs. The only disadvantage is that it is expensive!

Matthew Millman

And then there is Matthew Millman's HVEPROM project. I have his v1 shield which can program 2704, 2708 and MCM68764 / MCM68766 EPROMs. I will soon test the 2708 EPROMs for my S-100 Cromemco 8k Bytesaver. MCM68764 / MCM68766 EPROMs are working fine. I have programmed and compared two EPROMS; one programmed with the Galep-5.

All you need is a USB(B) cable, a 12V power supply, the Arduino IDE and Matt's Windows GUI and off you go.

TMS2716

The new HVEPROM project. The v2 shield can also program TMS2716 EPROMs.
